Ashby De La Zouch Castle (English Heritage)

The property began as a manor house in the 12th century and reached castle status in the 15th century. Despite sustaining extensive damage during the Civil War, plenty remains to be explored including: an impressive climb to the top of the 24-metre tower and an underground passage.
